IDN هو اسم نطاق يتضمن أحرفاً من خطوط غير لاتينية (العربية والصينية والسيريلية وغيرها) أو أحرفاً لاتينية بعلامات تشكيلية. تُشفَّر IDNs باستخدام [[punycode|Punycode]] لضمان التوافق مع DNS.
