Ein IDN ist ein Domainname mit Zeichen aus nicht-lateinischen Schriften (Chinesisch, Arabisch, Kyrillisch usw.) oder lateinischen Zeichen mit diakritischen Zeichen. IDNs werden für die DNS-Kompatibilität mit [[punycode|Punycode]] kodiert.
