TTL é um valor nos registros [[dns|DNS]] que especifica por quanto tempo (em segundos) uma resposta [[dns-cache|em cache]] permanece válida. TTLs mais baixos garantem uma propagação mais rápida das alterações de DNS, mas aumentam a carga de consultas nos [[authoritative-dns|servidores autoritativos]].
Exemplo
A TTL of 300 (5 minutes) means DNS changes propagate quickly; a TTL of 86400 (24 hours) reduces server load but delays updates.
