Rekaman RRSIG (Resource Record Signature) (RFC 4034) berisi tanda tangan kriptografi atas sekumpulan rekaman [[dns|DNS]], yang memungkinkan validasi [[dnssec|DNSSEC]]. Untuk setiap jenis rekaman dalam zona yang ditandatangani (A, MX, AAAA, dll.), RRSIG yang sesuai dibuat menggunakan kunci privat zona. [[dns-resolver|Resolver]] yang memvalidasi memverifikasi RRSIG terhadap [[dnskey-record|DNSKEY]] zona untuk mengkonfirmasi rekaman tidak dirusak selama pengiriman. Rekaman RRSIG memiliki tanggal kedaluwarsa dan harus diperbarui secara berkala.
Contoh
An RRSIG on the A record for example.com proves the IP address was signed by the zone owner's private key; tampering with the IP would invalidate the signature and cause resolution failure.
