يحتوي سجل RRSIG (توقيع سجل الموارد) (RFC 4034) على التوقيع التشفيري لمجموعة من سجلات [[dns|DNS]]، مما يتيح التحقق عبر [[dnssec|DNSSEC]]. لكل نوع سجل في منطقة موقعة (A وMX وAAAA وغيرها) يُولَّد RRSIG مقابل باستخدام المفتاح الخاص للمنطقة. تتحقق [[dns-resolver|أجهزة الحل]] المُتحقِّقة من RRSIG مقابل [[dnskey-record|DNSKEY]] للمنطقة للتأكد من عدم التلاعب بالسجلات أثناء النقل. تحتوي سجلات RRSIG على تاريخ انتهاء صلاحية ويجب تجديدها دورياً.

An RRSIG on the A record for example.com proves the IP address was signed by the zone owner's private key; tampering with the IP would invalidate the signature and cause resolution failure.
