Запись RRSIG (Resource Record Signature) (RFC 4034) содержит криптографическую подпись набора записей [[dns|DNS]], обеспечивая проверку [[dnssec|DNSSEC]]. Для каждого типа записи в подписанной зоне (A, MX, AAAA и т.д.) генерируется соответствующий RRSIG с использованием закрытого ключа зоны. Проверяющие [[dns-resolver|резолверы]] сверяют RRSIG с [[dnskey-record|DNSKEY]] зоны, чтобы убедиться, что записи не были подделаны при передаче. Записи RRSIG имеют дату истечения срока действия и должны периодически обновляться.

An RRSIG on the A record for example.com proves the IP address was signed by the zone owner's private key; tampering with the IP would invalidate the signature and cause resolution failure.
