Rekaman DNS wildcard menggunakan tanda bintang (*) untuk mencocokkan [[subdomain|subdomain]] mana pun yang tidak memiliki rekaman eksplisit. Ini memungkinkan semua subdomain yang tidak terdefinisi untuk di-resolve ke alamat IP atau target yang sama.
Contoh
A wildcard A record *.example.com pointing to 1.2.3.4 means anything.example.com, random.example.com all resolve to that IP.
