Un enregistrement DNS générique (wildcard) utilise un astérisque (*) pour correspondre à tout [[subdomain|sous-domaine]] ne disposant pas d'enregistrement explicite, permettant à tous les sous-domaines non définis de résoudre vers la même adresse IP ou cible.
Exemple
A wildcard A record *.example.com pointing to 1.2.3.4 means anything.example.com, random.example.com all resolve to that IP.
