Un registro DNS comodín utiliza un asterisco (*) para coincidir con cualquier [[subdomain|subdominio]] que no tenga un registro explícito. Esto permite que todos los subdominios no definidos resuelvan a la misma dirección IP o destino.
Ejemplo
A wildcard A record *.example.com pointing to 1.2.3.4 means anything.example.com, random.example.com all resolve to that IP.
