Um registro DNS curinga usa um asterisco (*) para corresponder a qualquer [[subdomain|subdomínio]] que não tenha um registro explícito, permitindo que todos os subdomínios indefinidos resolvam para o mesmo endereço IP ou destino.
Exemplo
A wildcard A record *.example.com pointing to 1.2.3.4 means anything.example.com, random.example.com all resolve to that IP.
