Un enregistrement CNAME (Nom Canonique) crée un alias d'un nom de domaine vers un autre. Au lieu de pointer vers une adresse IP comme un [[a-record|enregistrement A]], un CNAME pointe vers un nom de domaine différent, qui se résout ensuite en adresse IP.
Exemple
A CNAME record pointing www.example.com to example.com means both addresses reach the same server.
