خادم الأسماء هو خادم يخزّن سجلات DNS ويستجيب لاستعلامات DNS الخاصة بمنطقة نطاق معينة. تشكّل خوادم الأسماء العمود الفقري لنظام [[dns|DNS]]، إذ توجّه حركة المرور بالإجابة عن طلبات البحث بعناوين IP المناسبة أو بيانات السجل الأخرى.
