DNS-over-TLS(DoT)는 전용 포트(853)에서 TLS 프로토콜을 사용하여 [[dns|DNS]] 쿼리를 암호화합니다. [[dns-over-https|DoH]]와 달리 DoT는 자체 포트를 사용하므로 네트워크 관리자가 DNS 트래픽을 식별하고 관리하기 더 용이합니다.
