पुनीकोड एक एन्कोडिंग सिंटैक्स है जो यूनिकोड वर्णों वाले [[idn|अंतर्राष्ट्रीयकृत डोमेन नामों]] को 'xn--' से शुरू होने वाली ASCII-संगत स्ट्रिंग में बदलता है। यह केवल ASCII का समर्थन करने वाले [[dns|DNS]] को गैर-लैटिन डोमेन नामों को संभालने में सक्षम बनाता है।
