TLD (Top-Level Domain)

A TLD (Top-Level Domain) is the last segment of a domain name — the part after the final dot. TLDs are the highest level in the [[dns|Domain Name System]] hierarchy and are categorized as [[gtld|generic]] (like .com), [[cctld|country-code]] (like .uk), or [[stld|sponsored]] (like .edu).
