DNSSEC (Extensiones de Seguridad del Sistema de Nombres de Dominio) añade firmas criptográficas a los registros [[dns|DNS]], permitiendo que los resolutores verifiquen que las respuestas no han sido manipuladas. DNSSEC previene el envenenamiento de caché y los ataques de intermediario en las consultas DNS.
