Авторитетный DNS-сервер хранит исходные, окончательные записи [[dns|DNS]] для зоны. В отличие от рекурсивных [[dns-resolver|резолверов]], которые опрашивают другие серверы, авторитетные серверы дают окончательные ответы, поскольку являются первоисточником записей домена.
