Un enregistrement TXT est un enregistrement [[dns|DNS]] contenant des données textuelles arbitraires. Bien qu'initialement destiné à des notes lisibles par l'homme, les enregistrements TXT sont maintenant largement utilisés à des fins traitables par les machines, comme l'authentification des e-mails ([[spf-record|SPF]], [[dmarc|DMARC]]) et la vérification de propriété de domaine.
Exemple
A TXT record containing 'v=spf1 include:_spf.google.com ~all' authorizes Google's servers to send email on behalf of your domain.
