Ein TXT-Eintrag ist ein [[dns|DNS]]-Eintrag, der beliebige Textdaten enthält. Obwohl ursprünglich für menschenlesbare Notizen gedacht, werden TXT-Einträge heute häufig für maschinenlesbare Zwecke verwendet, z. B. für die E-Mail-Authentifizierung ([[spf-record|SPF]], [[dmarc|DMARC]]) und die Domain-Eigentumsverifizierung.
Beispiel
A TXT record containing 'v=spf1 include:_spf.google.com ~all' authorizes Google's servers to send email on behalf of your domain.
