At-Large (ICANN At-Large Community)

The ICANN At-Large community represents the interests of individual internet users in [[icann|ICANN's]] policy development processes. It is organized into five Regional At-Large Organizations (RALOs) covering Africa, Asia-Pacific, Europe, Latin America/Caribbean, and North America, which together form the At-Large Advisory Committee (ALAC). ALAC submits formal advice to the ICANN Board and participates in [[gnso|GNSO]] policy working groups. The At-Large structure was created to ensure that end users — not just commercial entities — have a voice in domain name governance decisions.

Example

At-Large representatives provided public comments opposing registry-registrar cross-ownership changes and advocating for stronger consumer protections during [[raa|RAA]] negotiations.
