DNS-Caching ist die temporäre Speicherung von DNS-Abfrageergebnissen, gesteuert durch einen TTL-Wert (Time-To-Live) in Sekunden. Caching reduziert DNS-Abfragezeiten und Netzwerkverkehr, indem aktuelle Abfrageergebnisse wiederverwendet werden, anstatt für jede Anfrage neue Abfragen durchzuführen.
Beispiel
A TTL of 3600 means DNS resolvers will cache the record for 1 hour before querying the authoritative server again.
