キャッチオールメールアドレスは、既存のメールボックスと一致しないドメイン宛のメッセージをバウンスせずに受信するよう設定されたメールボックスです。例えば[email protected]のみ存在する場合、キャッチオールは[email protected]や[email protected]も配信します。誤送信されたメールをキャプチャするのに便利ですが、キャッチオール設定はドメインの任意のアドレスに大量メールを送り、キャッチオールへの配信を当てにするスパマーの格好の標的になります。ほとんどの[[email-hosting|メールホスティング]]プロバイダーはキャッチオールを[[email-alias|メールエイリアス]]とは別のオプション設定として提供しています。
使用例
A small business with catch-all enabled receives mail sent to support@, billing@, and sales@ even though only hello@ is formally configured — useful during onboarding, but increases spam exposure significantly.
