वाइल्डकार्ड SSL सर्टिफिकेट *.example.com पैटर्न का उपयोग करके एक ही सर्टिफिकेट से डोमेन और उसके सभी [[subdomain|सबडोमेन]] को सुरक्षित करता है। कई सबडोमेन वाली साइटों के लिए यह अलग-अलग सर्टिफिकेट की तुलना में अधिक किफायती है।
