A grace period is a window of time after a domain name expires during which the original [[registrant]] can still renew it at the standard [[renewal-fee|renewal price]]. Most [[tld|TLDs]] offer a grace period of 0-45 days.
Example
If your .com expires on January 1, you typically have until about February 12 (42-day grace period) to renew at the normal price.
