Domain abuse refers to malicious use of domain names for phishing, malware distribution, spam, or fraud. [[registry-operator|Registry operators]] and [[registrar|registrars]] have abuse reporting mechanisms, and severe cases can result in domain suspension.
Example
A phishing site using a lookalike domain to steal login credentials is domain abuse, reportable to the registrar's abuse contact.
