A brand TLD (also called a dot-brand) is a [[new-gtld|new gTLD]] that uses a company's brand name as the domain extension. Brand TLDs are operated exclusively by the owning company and are not available for public registration.
Example
.google, .apple, .amazon, and .bmw are brand TLDs. Google uses domains like safety.google and store.google.
