Le typosquatting (également appelé détournement d'URL) est la pratique consistant à enregistrer des noms de domaine qui sont des fautes de frappe courantes de sites web populaires, dans l'espoir de capturer le trafic mal tapé. Les typosquatteurs peuvent afficher des publicités, des pages de phishing ou des logiciels malveillants.
