Ein MX-Eintrag (Mail Exchange) ist ein [[dns|DNS]]-Eintrag, der den für den E-Mail-Empfang einer Domain zuständigen Mailserver angibt. MX-Einträge enthalten einen Prioritätswert, der die Reihenfolge bestimmt, in der die Mailserver kontaktiert werden.
Beispiel
An MX record for example.com with priority 10 pointing to mail.example.com directs all incoming email to that mail server.
