Eine Konsensrichtlinie im [[icann|ICANN]]-Ökosystem ist eine Richtlinie, die durch den Policy Development Process (PDP) des [[gnso|GNSO]] entwickelt und vom ICANN-Vorstand verabschiedet wird und dann für alle akkreditierten [[registrar|Registrare]] und gegebenenfalls [[registry-operator|Registry-Betreiber]] verbindlich wird. Konsensrichtlinien müssen innerhalb einer festgelegten Umsetzungsfrist in [[raa|Registrar-Akkreditierungsvereinbarungen]] und [[registry-agreement|Registry-Vereinbarungen]] aufgenommen werden. Bekannte Beispiele sind die [[udrp|UDRP]], die Inter-Registrar-Transferrichtlinie und die Richtlinie zur Löschung abgelaufener Domains.
