متطلبات دقة WHOIS هي التزامات تعاقدية يفرضها [[icann|ICANN]] على [[registrar|المسجِّلين]] لجمع بيانات الاتصال الدقيقة للمسجّل والحفاظ عليها، والتحقيق في السجلات غير الدقيقة وتصحيحها عند تلقّي الشكاوى. بموجب سياسة RDDS الخاصة بـICANN واتفاقية اعتماد المسجِّلين (RAA)، يجب أن يوفر المسجِّلون آلية للإبلاغ عن بيانات WHOIS غير الدقيقة واتخاذ الإجراءات التصحيحية — بما فيها تعليق النطاق — إذا أخفق [[registrant|المسجَّل]] في تصحيح المعلومات الخاطئة خلال 15 يوماً. يظل التوازن بين التزامات الدقة والامتثال لـ[[domain-privacy-law|قانون خصوصية النطاقات]] توتراً قائماً.
