جهة اتصال إساءة الاستخدام لدى المسجّل هي عنوان بريد إلكتروني ورقم هاتف إلزامي ومتاح للعموم يجب على كل [[registrar|مسجّل]] معتمد من ICANN الاحتفاظ به بموجب [[raa|اتفاقية اعتماد المسجّلين]] لعام 2013. يُلزَم المسجّلون بالإقرار بشكاوى الإساءة في غضون 24 ساعة من استلامها وإدراج جهة الاتصال في سجل [[whois|WHOIS]] لكل نطاق. تُعدّ هذه الجهة القناة الرسمية للإبلاغ عن [[domain-abuse|إساءة استخدام النطاقات]] بما فيها التصيد الاحتيالي وتوزيع البرمجيات الخبيثة والبريد المزعج و[[cybersquatting|الاستيلاء على النطاقات]]. يرصد موظفو الامتثال في ICANN استجابة المسجّلين وقد يفرضون عقوبات متصاعدة تصل إلى تعليق [[registrar-accreditation|الاعتماد]].

When a phishing page is hosted at malicious-bank.com, the victim's IT team looks up the registrar's abuse contact from WHOIS (e.g., [email protected]) and files a complaint; the registrar is required to acknowledge within 24 hours.
