Chuỗi TLD là chuỗi ký tự cụ thể mà người nộp đơn đề xuất vận hành như [[tld|tên miền cấp cao nhất]] mới trong Chương trình gTLD mới của [[icann|ICANN]]. Chuỗi phải trải qua nhiều vòng đánh giá bao gồm phân tích độ tương đồng chuỗi, kiểm tra tên địa lý, sàng lọc từ dành riêng và quy trình phản đối cộng đồng trước khi được ủy quyền.
