El [[tld|TLD]] de infraestructura es un dominio de nivel superior de propósito especial reservado exclusivamente para uso técnico por la infraestructura central de internet. .arpa (Área de Parámetros de Dirección y Enrutamiento) es el único TLD de infraestructura, gestionado por [[iana|IANA]] en nombre de la comunidad de [[icann|ICANN]]. Aloja zonas de búsqueda inversa [[dns|DNS]] (in-addr.arpa para IPv4, ip6.arpa para IPv6) y otros espacios de nombres esenciales para los protocolos. A diferencia de todos los demás TLDs, .arpa nunca se utiliza para direcciones web públicas y no puede ser registrado por individuos u organizaciones.
