Eine Domain-Benachrichtigung ist eine automatisierte Meldung, die an einen Domain-Inhaber oder Administrator gesendet wird, wenn ein vordefiniertes Ereignis oder ein Schwellenwert erreicht wird. Haeufige Ausloser sind bevorstehende Ablaufe (in der Regel 60, 30 und 7 Tage vorher), [[whois-monitoring|WHOIS-Aenderungen]], [[nameserver|Nameserver]]-Modifikationen, das Auslaufen von SSL-Zertifikaten sowie [[domain-status-codes|Statuscode]]-Uebergaenge wie das Eintreten des [[client-hold|clientHold]]-Status. Benachrichtigungen werden per E-Mail, SMS oder Webhook an eine Monitoring-Plattform geliefert und bilden ein Fruehwarnsystem, das Administratoren hilft, Massnahmen zu ergreifen, bevor eine Domain ablauft, unerwartet uebertragen wird oder vom Registry markiert wird.
