Ein DNSKEY-Eintrag (RFC 4034) speichert den öffentlichen kryptografischen Schlüssel zur Verifikation von [[dnssec|DNSSEC]]-Signaturen in einer Zone. Jede DNSSEC-signierte Zone veröffentlicht mindestens einen Zone Signing Key (ZSK) und einen Key Signing Key (KSK). Der Hash des KSK wird als DS-Eintrag in der übergeordneten Zone veröffentlicht und bildet die [[dnssec|Vertrauenskette]] vom DNS-Root abwärts. DNSKEY-Einträge haben ein spezifisches Format für Flags, Protokoll und Algorithmus.
