Forum (NAF) Domain Dispute Resolution
Forum, formerly known as the National Arbitration Forum (NAF), is an [[icann]]-accredited dispute resolution service provider that administers [[udrp]] proceedings as an alternative to [[wipo-arbitration]]. Forum handles a significant volume of domain disputes, particularly those involving US-based complainants, and operates under the same UDRP rules mandated by ICANN. Complainants choose between accredited providers; both apply identical legal standards but may differ in panelist pools, procedural timelines, and filing fees. Forum also administers the Uniform Rapid Suspension (URS) system for new generic TLDs, a faster and cheaper alternative to full UDRP for clear-cut cases of [[cybersquatting]].
Example
A US retailer chose Forum over WIPO for its UDRP filing due to faster average turnaround times, and received a transfer order within 45 days of filing.
