DNS Template

A DNS template (also called a DNS profile or preset) is a pre-configured set of [[dns|DNS]] records that can be applied to one or more domains in a single click, ensuring consistency across a portfolio. Templates typically include A, AAAA, MX, TXT, and CNAME records for a specific hosting environment or service stack. When a new domain is registered or hosting is migrated, applying a template eliminates manual data entry and reduces human error. The [[dns-management-panel|DNS management panel]] usually lets administrators create, edit, and version templates, and some panels support [[bulk-dns-update|bulk application]] of a template to all selected domains simultaneously.

Example

You create a 'G Suite' template with the correct MX priority values and SPF TXT record, then apply it to all 30 company domains at once from the [[domain-dashboard|domain dashboard]].
