## How It Works
This tool queries the RDAP (Registration Data Access Protocol) — the modern, standardized successor to WHOIS — to determine if a domain is available.
- **Available**: No registration record found — you can register this domain
- **Registered**: Shows the Registrar Domain, creation date, and expiry date
## RDAP vs WHOIS
RDAP provides structured JSON responses with better access control and internationalization support. It was mandated by ICANN in 2019 as the official replacement for WHOIS.
## Tips
- Enter a full domain name including the TLD (e.g., `example.com`)
- Try different TLDs — if `mybrand.com` is taken, check `mybrand.io` or `mybrand.dev`
