Premium Domain (Registry Premium)
A premium domain is a domain name priced higher than the standard registration fee, usually because it contains valuable keywords, is short, or is considered highly desirable. Premium pricing can be set by the [[registry-operator|registry]] or by the [[registrar]].
Example
The domain tech.io might be a registry premium at $2,999/year while a regular .io domain costs $39/year.
