Wholesale Price
The wholesale price is the fee that a [[registry-operator|registry operator]] charges [[registrar|registrars]] for each domain registration. Registrars then add their margin on top. Some registrars like Cloudflare sell at wholesale (at-cost) pricing.
Example
VeriSign's wholesale price for .com was $9.59 in 2024. Cloudflare charges this exact price while GoDaddy might charge $18.99.
