Bulk / Volume Pricing

Bulk or volume pricing refers to discounted [[registration-fee|registration]] or [[renewal-fee|renewal]] rates offered to registrants who manage large domain portfolios, usually starting at 50–100 domains. [[registrar|Registrars]] typically structure bulk pricing in tiers — the more domains an account holds, the lower the per-domain cost. Reseller accounts and enterprise agreements are common vehicles for accessing wholesale-adjacent pricing without becoming an ICANN-accredited registrar. Many large investors secure reseller accounts to bring per-domain costs close to the [[wholesale-price|wholesale price]].

Example

A domain investor managing 5,000 .com names through Namecheap's reseller program might pay $8.20/domain instead of the standard $13.98 retail rate.
