A keyword domain is a domain name built around one or more high-value search terms that directly describe a product, service, or topic — for example, 'bestcreditcards.com' or 'lasvegashotels.com'. These names were historically prized for their SEO advantages as [[exact-match-domain|exact-match domains]], and they still carry strong end-user appeal because they communicate intent at a glance. Valuation correlates with the keyword's monthly search volume, cost-per-click (CPC) in Google Ads, availability of the .com extension, and [[comparable-sales|comparable sales]] in the same industry vertical. High-CPC industries such as insurance, legal, and finance produce the strongest keyword domain values.
