قيد الحذف هو المرحلة الأخيرة في دورة حياة النطاق لمعظم [[tld|TLDs]]، وتحدث بعد انتهاء [[redemption-period|فترة الاسترداد]] دون استعادة [[registrant|المسجّل]] الأصلي للنطاق. خلال هذه المرحلة التي تستمر عادةً 5 أيام لنطاقات .com وغيرها المُدارة من Verisign، لا يمكن تسجيل النطاق أو نقله أو استرداده. بعد انتهاء فترة الحذف، يُطلق النطاق ويصبح متاحاً للتسجيل بنظام الأول فالأول. يستخدم مستثمرو النطاقات خدمات متخصصة لالتقاط النطاقات في اللحظة الدقيقة لإطلاقها.
