Domain Expiry Alert

A domain expiry alert is a targeted [[domain-alert|domain alert]] specifically triggered as a domain's registration end date approaches. ICANN's Transfer Policy requires registrars to send expiration notices at least 30, 15, and 5 days before expiry; best-practice registrars add additional reminders at 60 and 7 days. Upon expiration, most registries enter the domain into a grace period (typically 0–30 days) during which renewal is still possible, followed by a redemption grace period (up to 30 additional days) at a premium fee, and finally deletion from the registry. Configuring expiry alerts via both the [[domain-dashboard|registrar dashboard]] and a third-party [[domain-monitoring|domain monitoring]] service ensures redundancy in case primary notifications are filtered as spam.
